Topic of The Day: Compassion
for Sunday, April 6th, 2025

Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.
Isaiah 49:15
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
As a woman, can I forget my nursing child and lack compassion for my own flesh and blood? Even if earthly ties may falter, the divine promise remains unwavering: ‘I will not forget you.’ Oh, the depth of a mother’s love, a reflection of the boundless compassion of the Divine. How can we, in our humanity, grasp such steadfast devotion? Well, you see, it transcends our understanding, a reminder that in the vastness of His love, we are never forsaken.
My Prayer
Heavenly Father, as a woman, I come before you with a humble heart seeking your guidance and strength. Just as a mother’s love for her child is unconditional, may I also be filled with compassion and kindness towards those around me. Help me to emulate the nurturing and caring nature of a mother towards her child, showing empathy and understanding to all in need. In moments of doubt or weariness, remind me of your unending love and compassion towards me, even when others may falter. Grant me the grace to extend grace to others, being a source of comfort and support. May my actions and words reflect your compassion and mercy, touching the lives of those I encounter. Thank you, Lord, for never forgetting me and for teaching me the power of compassion. Amen.
