for Saturday, April 25th, 2026

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
1 Corinthians 13:4-5
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
Oh, love… it’s so much more than just a feeling, right? When I think about that beautiful verse—”Love is patient, love is kind”—I realize how vital it is in our lives. Are we truly embodying patience and kindness in our relationships? Or do we find ourselves caught up in envy or pride? You see, love isn’t about keeping score; it’s about cherishing and honoring others, even when it’s tough. Can we let go of past wrongs and embrace each moment anew? Let’s strive to love deeper, with open hearts, and see the transformation it brings!
My Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
As I reflect on the beautiful qualities of love as described in Your Word, I come before You seeking a heart filled with patience and kindness. Please help me to embody these virtues in all my relationships, nurturing love that is not rooted in envy or pride.
Lord, may I honor others and seek their well-being above my own. Teach me to let go of any anger or grievances I may hold, allowing Your grace to guide me in forgiveness. Help me to remember that true love keeps no record of wrongs, and instead, choose to see the good in others.
In moments of frustration, remind me of the strength of love; in times of despair, instill in me the hope found in gentle patience. May my heart reflect Your unconditional love, and may I be a beacon of Your light, radiating kindness in the world around me.
I ask these things in Jesus’ name, Amen.
