Today’s Verse for Woman – Luke 10:33-34, Friday, June 6th, 2025
Topic of The Day: Compassion
for Friday, June 6th, 2025

But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. When he saw him, he was moved with compassion, came to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. He set him on his own animal, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
Luke 10:33-34
Thoughts on Today’s Verse
Oh, the touching tale of the compassionate Samaritan who selflessly aided a stranger in need… As a woman, I reflect on the depth of empathy and kindness shown in this parable. How often do we, like the Samaritan, stop to truly see those around us? Do we allow compassion to move us into action, binding wounds and offering solace? Imagine a world where every encounter is an opportunity to show love and care. Let us follow the example set forth and be the Samaritan in our own journeys, spreading healing wherever we go.
My Prayer
Dear God, as we reflect on the powerful example of the Samaritan showing compassion, we pray for a heart that is filled with empathy and kindness. Help us to see those in need and be moved to act with love and care. May we not pass by those who are hurting, but stop and offer our support and comfort. Grant us the strength to bind up the wounds of others, to pour out the oil of healing, and to lift them up when they are down. Teach us to be like the Samaritan, to go out of our way to help those in distress, regardless of who they are. May compassion be a guiding light in our lives, leading us to show mercy and grace to all. Amen.
